Overlooking Ormoc Bay on the Carlota Hills in Barangay Canadieng, this marker highlights Ormoc City and the role it played in the history of WWII. It was erected by the Nagoya and Gifu Prefectures as a token of friendship between the Japanese and Filipinos in the aftermath of the conflagration.
Japanese visitors attend this memorial marker, in memory of their countrymen who fought and died in Ormoc during the war.
